Royal Scot to visit Keighley & Worth Valley next June

As part of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations we are delighted to confirm that Royal Scot will be paying the railway a very special visit.

For three days only Royal Scot will make a starring appearance at the railway. From Monday 25th June to Wednesday 27th June 2018 she will be hauling trains between Keighley, Haworth and Oxenhope on the picturesque Yorkshire railway.

Visiting Yorkshire

Visitors will be able to see and travel with Royal Scot four times per day in heritage railway carriages on this delightful line1. Each journey will take between 80 and 120 minutes depending on departure time, so there will be plenty of opportunity to experience our astonishing 90 year old locomotive.

Passengers who travel in the railway’s art deco Pullman carriages will also enjoy a complimentary cream tea during their journey.

Royal Scot’s visit forms part of an eight day celebration of the lines 50 year history. Culminating in what is likely to be the most spectacular steam gala the railway has experienced since the opening day in June 19682.

The Royal Scot Locomotive & General Trust and Icons Of Steam are delighted that Royal Scot will be attending the railway. Taking part in such an important anniversary will be a wonderful experience for us, the railway and for everyone who comes to enjoy this fantastic event.
