Steam to the seaside

Hauled by a magnificent steam locomotive, we will depart Crewe and steam north and across the Cheshire Plain to the City of Chester.

From here we will journey onwards, along the picturesque coastline of North Wales. As the rails hug the sea wall to one side the ocean beckons, while on the other the rolling hills of Wales loom with enchantment.

Finally, after halting at Llandudno Junction and Bangor, we will cross the Menai Strait and push on into Anglesey.

Llandudno Jn.

Medieval fortifications and Victorian architecture await you in the town of Conwy, just a short 20 minute walk from Llandudno Junction station.

Explore magnificent 800 year old fortress of Conwy Castle and Thomas Telford's 190 year old suspension bridge.

Spring steam to the sea

We are journeying to the North Wales Coast on two Spring Saturdays in 2018.

On Saturday 14th April and Saturday 2nd June one of our magnificently restored and lovingly maintained steam locomotives - Royal Scot, Britannia, Braunton2 - will take charge of our train for our journey.

Climb aboard luxuriously upholstered, historic 1950's railway carriages and step back in time3. Our liveried stewards will bring drinks to your seat as we speed along the coast. What delights lay before you as our train train eases into the platform...

Our journeys are operated by Saphos Trains.
